1944:
Shanghai. Laid down at Kiangnan (Jiangnan Arsenal) Dock & Engineering Works (operated by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K. as Konan Yard) as a 2, 274-ton cargo ship for Nippon Yusen K. K. (NYK Line), Tokyo.

1944:
Launched and named DOSHI MARU.

20 May 1944:
Completed and requisitioned by the Imperial Army (IJA). Allotted Army No. 1229.

28 August 1944:
At 0400, DOSHI MARU departs Kagoshima, Kyushu for Kirun (Keelung), Formosa in convoy KATA-827 also consisting of AMOY, HAKUYO, ISSHIN, JOGU, KEIUN, KEIZAN, KINZAN, KOTSU and NANYO MARUs and HORAI MARUs No. 6 and No. 7, NANKO MARU No. 1 and TSUKUSHI MARU No. 3 plus 15 unidentified ships escorted by torpedo boat MANAZURU, minelayer NIIZAKI and subchasers CH-49, CH-17 and CH-18 and auxiliary netlayer SHINTO MARU No. 2, auxiliary subchaser CHIKUTO MARU, auxiliary minesweepers SHONAN MARU No. 16, HOEI MARU and auxiliary HOKOKU MARI No. 3.

30 August 1944:
KORYU MARU joins convoy KATA-827. Departs Naha, Ryukyus.

2 September 1944:
Off Miyako Jima. KORYU MARU is detached.

4 September 1944:
At 1030, arrives at Kirun.

7 November 1944:
Released by the IJA to her owners.

9 February 1945:
Requisitioned by the Imperial Navy (IJN) as an Ippan Choyosen (B-AK).

1 March 1945:
At 0800, DOSHI MARU departs Mutsure for Kirun in convoy MOTA-40 also consisting of AIZAN, ANKO, DAIKI, IKOMASAN, KITAKATA and TOYOKAWA MARUs escorted by kaibokan IKUNA, CD-26 and CD-41, minesweepers W-15 and W-17 and subchaser CH-19.

5 March 1945:
Off Akuseki Jima, Ryukyu Islands. At 1042, LtCdr (later Captain) Walter F. Schlech's (USNA ’36) USS TILEFISH (SS-307) torpedoes and damages minesweeper W-15's stern at 29-36N, 129-45E. W-15 is beached on Suwasi Island and later abandoned, a constructive total loss.

7 March 1945:
At 2015, arrives at Hsu Kung Tao (Morrison Island), China.

8 March 1945:
At 0855, departs Hsu Kung Tao. At 1020, arrives at Ssu Chiao Shan, China.

9 March 1945:
At 2010, convoy MOTA-40 arrives at Kirun.

E 27 July 1945:
Departs Karatsu, Kyushu for Rashin, Korea.

27 July 1945:
Off Nishitomari, N Tsushima Island. DOSHI MARU is damaged by an air attack. Later, she sinks in shoal water.

1947:
Sold to Tsuneishi Zosen K.K. for scrapping.

1947:
Resold to Miyachi Kisen K.K., Tokyo.

1951:
Japan. Broken up.
