17 April 1945:
Sasebo Navy Yard. Laid down as the Sen-Taka Sho
(High-speed Small Type) class Submarine No. 4915.
1 May 1945:
Renumbered HA-205 and provisionally attached to Sasebo
Naval District.
14 May 1945:
Launched as HA-205.
15 May 1945:
Lt Muto Toshio (70)(former navigating officer of I-367)
is appointed the Chief Equipping Officer (CEO).
3 July 1945:
Completed and commissioned in the IJN. Attached to
Sasebo Naval District. Assigned to SubDiv 33. Lt Muto Toshio is the Commanding
Officer.
20 July 1945:
Reassigned to SubDiv 52 under Captain Yokota Minoru
(former staff operations officer at SubRon 11).
2 September 1945:
HA-205 is surrendered to the Allies at Sasebo.
2 November 1945:
Reassigned to Japanese Submarine Division Three under
LtCdr (later Captain) Paul R. Schratz with HA-201, HA-202, HA-203 and HA-210.
30 November 1945:
Removed from the Navy List.
9 May 1946: British Operation "BOTTOM":
Iyo Nada, Inland Sea.
Australian destroyer
HMAS QUIBERON and Indian sloop HMIS SUTLEJ scuttle HA-205
and several other IJN
submarines with gunfire.
