This class consists of HAKKAI MARU only, completed in ‘40 for Kita Nihon Kisen K.K. as a 2,921-tons passenger/cargo ship. She was registered in Aug ‘41 by the IJN, converted the following month to an auxiliary gunboat and torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine in May ‘43.
