This class consists of HINO MARU No. 2 only, completed in Dec ’35
for Shokuen Kaiso K.K. She was requisitioned by the IJN in Dec ’41 and
first converted to an auxiliary netlayer. In Mar ’42, she was converted to
an auxiliary gunboat and in Oct ‘43 to an auxiliary transport. She was
bombed and sunk by USN Aircraft in May ’44.
