(KINJO MARU, prewar)
This class consists of KINJO and CHOAN MARUs, both completed in 1935 for Chosen Kisen K.K. Both were requisitioned by the IJN and respectively converted to small auxiliary minelayers in Mar ’39 and Sep ’41. CHOAN MARU was bombed and sunk by aircraft in Oct ’44. KINJO MARU survived the war and was deleted from Lloyds Register in ‘79.

- Feb ’45 to Aug’45: one Type 96 triple 25mm gun, one Type 96 twin 25mm gun, one Type 93 13mm MG, One Type 3 detector, one searchlight, one DC.
CHOAN MARU:
One deck gun (short barrel), 50 mines.
