KINREI MARU Class Ore Carriers

KINREI, NIKKO, GINREI and BATOPHAT MARUs were completed in 1942-1943 by Nippon Kokan K. K. of Tsurumi, Yokohama of Kobe as 5,947-ton wartime ore carriers. KINREI MARU was sunk by an American submarine in May' 44, NIKKO MARU was sunk by an American submarine in Nov '43, GINREI MARU was sunk by USAAF medium bombers in Dec ' 43 and BATOPHAT MARU was sunk by an American submarine in Aug '44.
