This class consists of KOTOBUKI MARU No. 5 only, completed in Jul ‘39 for Sadaichi Fujioka. She was requisitioned in Sep ‘39 by the IJN and converted in Jan ‘41 to an auxiliary anti-submarine netlayer. She was sunk in Oct ’42 by air attack NW Rabaul.
