This class consists of NAGARA, KUMANO and UJI MARUs, completed between Apr ’40 and Apr ‘41 for Sankyo Kaiun K.K. All were requisitioned by the IJN and converted to auxiliary netlayers. All ships were sunk during the Pacific war from various causes.
