In 1920, RED HOOK (later NARUO MARU) was completed as a cargo ship. In '41, she was sold to Yamashita Kisen, K.K.,
and renamed NARUO MARU. She was requisitioned by the Imperial Army (IJA) as a cargo ship.
In ‘44, she was sunk by an American submarine.
