Nissho Maru No. 12 Class Transport

(NISSHO MARU No. 12 – Berend van der Wal Collection)


This class consists of NISSHO MARU No. 12 only, completed in 1936 for Marusho Kaiun K.K. as a 1,199-tons cargo ship. She was requisitioned in Oct 1938 by the IJN and converted to an auxiliary gunboat. She survived the war, renamed KINSHO MARU No. 12 in 1960 and ultimately scrapped in Mar 1966.
