OSEI MARU, postwar (Berend van der Wal Collection)
This class consists of OSEI MARU only, completed in Oct ‘41 for Toko Shoji K.K. She was requisitioned in Dec ‘41 by the IJN. Ship was converted that same month to an auxiliary anti-submarine netlayer and in Dec ’43 to an auxiliary cable layer. She survived the war, resumed her commercial service, was sold and renamed several times and was apparently scrapped before 1974.
