(SHOSEI MARU prewar – Peter Cundall collection)
This class consists of SHOSEI MARU only, completed in ‘15 for Shinto Kosan K.K. She was requisitioned in Nov ‘41 by the IJN and converted to an auxiliary anti-submarine netlayer the following month. She was bombed and sunk in May ’44 by USN carrier based aircraft at Palau, Eastern Carolines.
