Kure Naval Arsenal Laid down as Ship No. 2914, a 1,500-ton No. 1 class landing ship.
5 October 1944:
Numbered T.14
24 October 1944:
Launched and attached to the Maizuru Guard Office.
15 November 1944:
LtCdr Nishio is appointed Chief Equipping Officer.
18 December 1944:
Completed. LtCdr Nishio is the Commanding Officer,
1 January 1945:
T. 14 departs Kure for Takao Formosa (now Kaohsiung, Taiwan) via. Xiamen, China, Mako, Pescadores.
14 January 1945:
T.15 arrives at Takao.
15 January 1945:
Takao, Formosa (Kaohsiung, Taiwan). Carrier planes of Vice Admiral (later Admiral) John S. McCain’s (USNA ’06) Task Force 38 bomb and
sink destroyer HATAKAZE and T.14 off Hisashiyama at 22-37N, 120-15E.
