28 August 1944:
Kure Naval Arsenal. Laid down as Ship No. 2915, a 1,500-ton No. 1 class landing ship.

5 October 1944:
Numbered T.15.

24 October 1944:
Launched.

15 November 1944:
Reserve LtCdr Kono Osamu is appointed Chief Equipping Officer.

25 November 1944:
Reserve LtCdr Kojima Shuichi is appointed Chief Equipping Officer.

20 December 1944:
Completed. Attached to the Maizuru Guard Office. Reserve LtCdr Kojima Shuichi is the Commanding Officer.

7 January 1945:
Reserve LtCdr Ichihashi Tsutomu (former CO of W-5) is appointed Commanding Officer.

13 January 1945:
Departs Kure for Kirun, Formosa (Keelung, Taiwan).

E 16 January 1945:
T.15 departs Kirun for Kagoshima, Kyushu.

17 January 1945:
East China Sea. Makurazaki Bight off Kyushu. At 1317 (I), LtCdr Thomas S. Baskett's (USNA '35) USS TAUTOG (SS-199) spots a "destroyer" to the west, making 15 knots. At 1329, Baskett fires three Mk. 18-1 stern torpedoes and gets one hit that blows the bow off T.15. She stops, but does not sink.

At 1339, TAUTOG fires one bow torpedo that hits and disintegrates T.15 at 31-08N, 130-28E. 225 men are KIA.

10 March 1945:
Removed from the Navy List.
