Completed at Maizuru. Ship's captain: Lieutenant (s.g.) Wakamatsu Takejiro [68].
1 April:
Assigned to Desron 11, Second Fleet, for training.
8 April-27 May:
Departed Maizuru for training in Inland Sea, then back to Maizuru.
20 April:
Desron 11 reassigned to Combined Fleet.
26 June:
Sunk: stern hit contact mine in Obama Bay (35-28 N, 135-44 E), exploding aft magazine; sank in shallow water. Number of survivors unknown, but included Lieutenant Wakamatsu (to C.O. SUMIRE).
15 July:
Assigned to Maizuru Naval District.
August:
Surrendered unrepaired at end of war.
30 September 1945:
Removed from Navy List. Refloated and scrapped in 1948.
