Carried Japanese emissaries and local pilots to meet USS MISSOURI (BB-63) at mouth of Tokyo Bay.

Surrendered at Yokosuka at end of war.
15 September 1945:
Removed from Navy List. Later used as repatriation ship.
29 July 1947:
Turned over to the Soviet Union; renamed TSL.24 for use as trials ship.
